The Sea Turtle Class is a half-day program for ages 3.5 to 5. This class is in a shared room with our after-school program. We follow the 4J school district schedule, so when the school-age children are off, the Sea Turtles are also off. 
 
With the mixed-age group, we focus a lot on social skills such as problem-solving, sharing, and taking turns. It’s ideal for families who want their child to gain socialization but are flexible enough to have stay-at-home days, too.
 
Incorporated into our play-based curriculum are all the ways to prepare the children for the next step in their educational journey. We have daily opportunities to learn numbers, letters, writing, phonics, and scissors skills.
 
Michelle Naggiar is the lead teacher in the sea turtle room. She has taught at Unity for over 15 years and has an AAS in early childhood education and a BS in history. Our new teacher assistant, Lydia, came to us from a background working in a pre-intervention environment and has really fit with our already amazing team!
